| Message: | Ben is resting up for his big travel day tomorrow. The Trockman family will be traveling to The Shepherd Center in Atlanta, GA on Tuesday morning. They are trying to stay on-task and get everything ready so please give them some space right now.
When I know what specific address to give you, I will post it so you can write to Ben and Jill in Atlanta.
When they find out what Shepherd's thinks is best for Ben, Wayne and Jill will let us know about visitors.
Hopefully, Jill will take over this journal as soon as she feels ready. I know they are very thankful to everyone for your love and support.

| Message: | All I know tonight is that everyone arrived safely in Atlanta. When I tried to make contact, they were all in meetings with the doctors. Thanks for checking on them!

| Message: | I just spoke with Jill. They've had a busy day. The doctors at Shepherd evaluated Ben for about 2 hours. Ben is alert and "talking" up a storm. He'll be in their ICU for 3-4 days to be sure his lungs are ok. Visitors must be approved by Ben's doctors so don't go down there just yet. Amy and her mother are going tomorrow (Wed.) The doctors think that would be good for Ben right now. Ben has said that the first food he wants when he is able is a chocolate sundae with cherries, bananas and carmel!!!! He also wants his family to fast while he can't eat... ha! (his humor is alive and well) I should know tomorrow about a correct mailing address.
On a sad note, please add Katelyn Becks family to your powerful prayer lists. Jill was understandably upset when I had to tell her the terrible news. This is a hard couple of weeks for the Harrison High School community. |

| Message: | Hello from Atlanta.
Before I begin to update all of you on Ben's progress, we want to thank everyone who has given us strength, support and love. The outpouring of support we have received from our families, friends and community have been overwhelming. We have been telling Ben of all of the amazing prayers, prayer services, number of visitors at the hospital, the amount of greetings on this website and on his my space.com. It has given him a sense of true family that goes beyond anything he can express.
The update... today has been a good day. We started the day with a meeting with doctors who told Ben of the gravity of the type of injury that he has sustained. The mood was very somber but, he handled the information with a grace and composure that we would not have imagined was possible.
His humor has returned and he has been joking with his therapists and counselor. Amazing to us is hearing his voice again in soft whispers. He has been cleared to drink fluids and may even get a milkshake tomorrow. The most important news is that he has been able to move a small muscle in his left shoulder and may beginning to have some sensation on the top ridge of each shoulder. It is not documented yet, as he has to prove it on a confirmed and consistent basis for the doctors.
Ben is also looking forward to tomorrow because he may move from ICU to Rehab to begin his work back and meet some of the other teenagers here. He will be receiving a special laptop soon with internet connections. So look for him soon!
We feel blessed to have had a day like today. Thank all of you for your love and support. Ben thanks you as we thank you.
